Panacea Golf Day 2008
Another great day hosted by Panacea and enjoyed by all who attended. Held at Old Thorns Golf Club in Liphook for the second year running, the demanding course again gave guests a challenging game.
We were blessed with glorious sunshine the whole day through, which made for a fantastic 38 holes of golf. We had guests of all abilities, handicaps ranging from 4 to 28 and where as the mornings texas scramble was a rather lighthearted fun game, most took the afternoon's stapleford event a lot more seriously with an aim to win.
But its not all about the winning but the taking part, so a big well done to all who played. But indeed there could only be one winner, and that was Stewart Johnstone from Intercity Mobile Communications, Well done!
Other great results from the day was a fantastic Hole-in-One played by Stuart Munro from Microsoft, hear what he says about his experience....
'This was my first time at the Panacea Golf Day and I found it a truly enjoyable experience, not just because I achieved my first Hole-in-One but the course was superb, the weather was fantastic and the company was second to none. The Hole-in-One was achieved on the 144 yard 7th hole, the 4 of us in the group saw as the ball hopped a couple of times before dropping into the hole, a fantastic feeling. My need to celebrate everytime the drinks buggy went passed ruined any chance of competition glory. A potential once in a lifetime achievement was more than enough for me though, and what a bonus all the drinks were paid for!!! It was totally unexpected when Panacea presented me with a Crystal Decanter so a special thank you for that!' - Stuart Munro.
